Creative Logos are the Best Logos

Logos with a creative, hidden meaning are the most successful. When a logo can incorporate a visual to better understand what and who the company is, what is the company's purpose, where they are located or who their target audience is, it becomes special. There are many successful logos without creative meanings like Facebook; simple but effective. But the logos that tell a story are the best kind.
A logo that is really special is Google. Google was founded in 1998 and has become one of the most successful companies in the world. What is unique about Google’s logo is that it transforms. It has its standard logo which is spelled out in red, yellow, blue and green. Simple.
But what is special is on Google’s search engine, the logo transforms to celebrate or pay homage to an historical event or person on a special day or week. Sometimes the words are transformed into animals or shapes that represent the letters. The Google logo is so strong that some letters can be completely replaced with an object connected to the theme and the standard logo will still be recognized.
Another logo with a hidden figure is the Goodwill logo. This American nonprofit 501 organization provides job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for people who have barriers preventing them from otherwise obtaining a job. It was founded in 1902. The logo is black, blue and white. The logo spells out goodwill with a large lowercase 'g' above it. What is fascinating about the 'g' is it also is a smiling face. This represents the company’s image is happy, helpful and it fits well with the overall objective of the company.
The Bronx zoo is a zoo located in the Bronx, New York and is one of the largest zoos in America that estimates 2.15 million visitors each year. Their logo is two standing giraffes with three small birds flying around them. What is creative about the logo is the space in-between the tall animals’ legs are the shapes of skyscrapers which represents its location in New York City.
Amazon is another successful company with a simple but effective logo design. It is an American electronic commerce and cloud computing company based in Seattle, Washington, that was founded by Jeff Bezos on July 5, 1994. It is also the world’s largest internet company by revenue. The amazon logo has an arrow that starts a the ‘a’ and points at the ‘z’. This is a hidden message that implies amazon can help their customers find anything from a to z. The arrow also forms a smile.
Logos should be fun using imagery, Tostitos is a great example of that. Tostitos is a Tostitos is a brand of Frito-Lay that produces different tortilla chips and a range of accompanying dips that was introduced in 1979. The ‘tit’ in Tostitos is an image of two people enjoying chips and salsa at a table, showing that the snack is fun and social.

A successful logo is a logo that can describe the company without verbally explaining what the company is or what it sells. The visuals of the logo alone should be able to give you an idea of what the company is. And it’s more successful when there is a hidden meaning in the logo or when the logo can be transformed and still be recognizable. The logos listed prove to be successful because they meet the criteria of a creative and effective logo.
